  • When is there not a sale haha

  • Some time ago, the Los Angeles Dedicated Servers was discounted at 35.55USD. Do you need to repurchase to apply this discount to 30USD or just send a work order? I need to re-migrate my data if I repurchase :'(

  • By the way, when will this offer end? If I need to repurchase I want to be closer to the next bill date and not halfway through

This is the initial state of the server I got
Through Ticket, open VM-x/AMD-V and restore 1Gbps network speed
Now the remaining problem, network routing and test IP are completely different
Looking Glass IP: 140.99.154.1 ping Vultr Japan 120ms
IP assigned to me: 8.45.51.1 ping Vultr Japan 190ms
The read and write speed of the hard disk is very slow, but the customer service said that there is no problem with the hard disk

Read/ write disk speeds depends on actual usage. Plus since it's a shared resource you are not guaranteed full iops. One way to figure out if the current disk speeds are an issue is when you actually run your application and see any performance degradation.. take that to support to investigate and troubleshoot further.

Yabs is not considered industry standard benchmark for troubleshooting. The numbers provided are indicative of what the current state of the host node. Since it's not dedicated, it's perfectly normal.

    This is a dedicated server
The system has been running for 4 minutes without any other applications running, so there is no other application occupying read and write.
yabs is not a standard, but there must be reference value

    This is a dedicated server

Is it supposed to be SSD?

The system has been running for 4 minutes without any other applications running, so there is no other application occupying read and write.

For a freshly setup system it may do some background jobs to update packages and all. You never know for sure.

yabs is not a standard, but there must be reference value

Not really. As I said, yabs is just a convenient way to check performance. Can it be considered standard reference, probably not.

What type of application are you running? Are you seeing any slowness when it's actually running? Did you run a smartctl and check disk health?

Try to check the hard disk model and SMART status with the command smartctl -a /dev/sda.

@plumberg said: Not really. As I said, yabs is just a convenient way to check performance. Can it be considered standard reference, probably not.

What type of application are you running? Are you seeing any slowness when it's actually running? Did you run a smartctl and check disk health?

I'm just stating the problem I'm having, I don't want to argue, maybe you're right,
But it does have more problems than other service providers,

Frankly at this point if you have doubts you should cancel and request refund.

I don't think I see anywhere that the service has many problems. Also if you want to show the provider they are at fault, you need to show specifics (unfortunately yabs is not specific, atleast for me).

A real world scenario would really benefit you and the provider to get a speedier resolution.

Again, I am not saying that the provider disks are performing well... even I would doubt.
