Real low end VPS for uptime detection (UK / EU based) $3 - $5ish

Looking to run an uptime tracker outside of my current servers, so just want something low end to run the following: docker, uptime kuma, zerotier (to ping my internal servers).
Not entirely sure what specs that would need as there would be minimal storage and bandwidth needed, I just need it to be UK or EU based, at or less than $3/yr, maybe stretch a bit if I'm being too unrealistic.

I think the butget is too low. For $3/year you could get a 128 MB NAT VPS, but I doubt it can run docker with that low ram.
With that kind of budget you need to take a look at NAT VPSes

or check if you pass requirements for free things hosted by amazing people here:

other options:
Free Tier Oracle Cloud / fly.io
LXC can't run docker without nesting enabled.
Yeah, was supposed to link to nanokvm rather than microlxc, fixed, thanks.
Damn @Neoon running too many free projects
Can probably do without Docker, uptime kuma does offer non-docker install, but again got no idea what the specs requirements are for those
Node.js >= 14
Git

Would $5/yr get me anything usable for this purpose?
Yes. I run docker+uptime Kuma on webhorizon 256mb NAT. You can get it for <$5 with offers (I got it for $2 during BF), else it's $7.
Gullo hosting 256MB NAT is also available around $5
Incase you need server requirement for uptime kuma
With 5 site Uptime Kuma cost around 80mb ram so better get 256mb ram nat vps
Hello.
I can offer a NAT vps with 128 or 256 MB ram.
WARNING: I use LXC, so no docker support!
Price:
^ 128 MB - $3 annually.
^ 256 MB - $5 annually.
Payments are done using Stripe.
Location: Germany

Will be delivered manually within 48 hours.
^ I have one ready for deploy, so almost instant deploy.
I can provide a free test instance for 24 hours, just send me a DM!

Bas
Could you use the fly.io free tier ?
Appreciate it, thanks for putting it into context. Is that a stand-alone / non-docker install?
Haven't heard of fly.io, have heard of Oracle's free one but it seems like quite a hassle to get things setup. Will check out fly.io and see what they're about

When you're getting a slice of a server that small, why do you need to run docker? You're already virtualized upstream on the provider. Seems a bit redundant and wasteful when you're talking about having 1gb or less of ram. You need to streamline your workflow as much as possible.
Thanks, got that to work. Now just need to figure out how to install and configure zerotier within fly.io
Very true, it's just what I'm used to using on my other proper servers, so definitely not experienced with streamlining things to work with tiny servers

I use Vultr for that, sadly its above your budget.
Imo its important to have "uptime monitoring" servers that have high uptime themselves
Also, maybe Hetrixtools fits your needs - its very comfy.
maybe vultr free tier? i have an instance but not sure if it is still available
I'm a company customer of Vultr paid services and sadly I'm still "pending" there, not sure how they are distributing those.
not sure, it may be kinda random. for me, i had some small instances with them previously but not much
