Singapore VPS for personal VPN
Hey - Looking for a low end VPS in Singapore to use as personal VPN with wireguard. Requirements
- 1 core
- 1 GB RAM
- 1 IPv4 (I need a dedicated IP)
- 100 GB BW @ 1 gbps per month (even better if i can get more here)
- Budget: $15-$50/year. Looking for the best deal.
- SEA location with good peering to my ISPs in India and Dubai (ideally, i'd want to do a speedtest first)
- Willing to compromise with support, don't expect to utilize it unless the server goes down.
Peering to India and UAE is going to be the most important deciding factor for me since I'm gonna use this as a VPN. China peering is not required but a huge plus if available.
100 GB BW is that per year or per month?
How does Las Vegas sound?
Take a peek at https://serversurplus.net
Last i checked, Las vegas was a bit far from South East Asia. I'll have to pass.
A beefy SG server for VPN within your budget.
You can checkout @kuroit They have Singapore and in your budget
This is cool! A bit overpowered for what i need though haha. I wonder if their BudgetKVMSG-2 will come back in stock anytime soon.
I believe 100gb will be not enough for you.
Las Vegas is well connected with Asia

Good plans but OOO
We have cheaper plan in SG DC1: https://greencloudvps.com/billing/store/storage-kvm-sale
Can you tell me which CPU is on the server? Also, can I get a 1 day trial or something before I commit to 1 year plan since there is no refund? Just want to speedtest to my ISP.
The CPU E5-2690v4, unfortunately we dont have refund/trial for promotional plans. You can test with our test IP/file here: https://greencloudvps.com/data-centers.php (Singapore Datacenter DC1).
Just an update to close this out - went with this plan, happy with the performance so far. China connectivity is not nice but that's fine.
Friends, your vps is very cool, I want to know how to calculate the extra bandwidth, my business requires a lot of bandwidth for storage purposes
Additional bandwidth costs $15/TB in APAC. It would be cheaper to purchase bigger plans.
You should check again
Nope, still a bit far
Send me a message if one of my plans is suitable and I can help.
