Looking for a budget VPS in EU

fartfart Member
edited May 2023 in General

I'm looking for a budget VPS in the EU, primarily for monitoring and log aggregation. My requirements are:

  1. 2 GB RAM
  2. 60+ GB disk, preferably 100 GB or more.
  3. Should be capable of running Docker containers.
  4. HDD is acceptable as long as it doesn't take multiple seconds to SSH into the server.
  5. Should have good uptime and a stable network.
  6. A good price point to hit would be <= $36/y, though I'm flexible regarding the price. I can commit annually.

Unfortunately, a lot of low end providers often fail to satisfy 4 and 5, which is why I'm looking for some good recommendations/offers from stable providers.

Thank you.

@v3ng thank you for your offer, any chance we can get the disk to 60 GB at least? I can work with 2 GB RAM, and the disk can be HDD if that helps you get the price down.

If London is an option for you and you can work with an older-gen E5 CPUs, I can do:
    2GB RAM
    2x vCPUs (Xeon E5)
    60GB SSD (RAID10)
    1TB BW on 1Gbit/s
    1x IPv4, /64 IPv6
    35EUR/m

These are left over resources from older generation nodes. But all in all - great network connectivity and superb reliability.

    I assume it’s per year?

Sorry about that - it's an annual price, of course.

Hello, it is likely that you've found a good deal - but we have a plan in the UK we can offer

    HS2

    • 2GB DDR4 RAM
    • 1 vCore (Ryzen 9 5900X)
    • 20GB NVMe SSD (We can knock this up to 60GB free of charge on annual commit)
      £4/month - £48/year

If that is on the high side price-wise:

    HS1

    • 1GB DDR4 RAM
    • 1 vCore (Ryzen 9 5900X);
    • 10GB NVMe SSD (Same applies if you're on annual commit, £0.50 extra per month though)
      £2.50/month - £30/year

    Looking Glass: https://lg.uk-1-ke.sys.hostaris.com

    Both plans include 1Gbps unmetered

You can get these instantly in Kettering, but the disk bump would be manual.
