@QuantumCore, just to check and confirm, do you allow service transfers?
We do allow service transfers but our current policy is that all discounts are removed from the service so the pricing will revert to the original retail price.
what a crap shit is that?
Was this policy just revised?
Hi all,
This has been our policy for quite a while now. We implemented it as unfortunately we've had a few promotions where there were limited activations and clients would sign up and use an activation just to sell the service for their own profit. This was preventing some customers that legitimately wanted to sign up to try our services from doing so.
Most of the promotions that we've had on here actually lost us money. We offered them to allow clients to test our service for cheap (sometimes for as low as $3AUD for 3 months) to see how good it was in the hope that they'd buy more services from us and/or keep renewing the service once the promotion finished. Allowing clients to then sell these services shortly after buying them for their own profit doesn't seem that fair so that's why we implemented this policy.
We never said in our promotional threads that services were allowed to be transferred although originally we did allow this for free if requested. Anyway, that's where we stand so if you agree or not, that's perfectly fine.
Cheers,
QC
IMHO, good decision.
promotions are marketing costs and marketing is expensive, than you better should plan your campaigns
