Close accounts indefinitely? Do service providers share user information?

CAUSE:

I got the free storage plan offered by smarthost in this post:https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3649052/#Comment_3649052
, and then I tried to get an account with them to get a free trial opportunity.

Because I'm from China, I can't pass smarthost's Google verification without a VPN. My first account was closed due to fraud detection, and I was told that it couldn't be reactivated. Then I tried to register a second account. I first turned on the vpn to pass the Google verification, and then turned off the vpn to complete the registration. (Later I learned that smarthost recommends users from China to use vpn
. But my second account was still suspended. Here I made a mistake. I told smarthost directly that I registered a second account. Maybe I didn’t say it They will not know. This time they closed my account with the reason that

"you have a history of abuse in the hosting industry, based on reports from other providers, and we cannot do business with you therefore".

I am curious what other providers mean Who is it? Is user information shared between providers? I only have RN, WEBHORIZON, GULLO, BUYVM servers, maybe I should ask them.
When I replied to the smarthost ticket and said that I would post on LET to see what everyone thinks about it, the reply was

"Sure...you do that.Happy to provide the mods with evidence,we have lots.End result is gonna be you getting kicked off LET.:-)".

I don't understand why I ended up being kicked out of LET. Did posting this violate any LET rules? I don't know, maybe someone can give me an answer.

Below is the ticket

Hi,
I'm sorry, but you did not pass our fraud detection measures and/or abuse reduction rules, and we cannot process your order(s) therefore.

What I am curious about is why you are getting my information from another service provider, although I don't know who the provider you are referring to, is sharing user information allowed? I only have RN, Webhorizon, Gullo , Buyvm machines, but I've never received any abuse scam emails, maybe I should ask them. ;)

I cannot give details on how we matched you to such reports from other providers, that would defeat the purpose of our fraud/abuse checking measures.

The first account was unrecoverable by your risk control, so I registered the second account as a last resort. As for the other service providers you mentioned, which one are you referring to? Am I abusing? Why have I never received Abusive emails from service providers?

You registered more than two accounts.
You have a history of abuse in the hosting industry, based on reports from other providers, and we cannot do business with you therefore.

Can you tell me which rule I violated? I registered two accounts and they were closed. If you do not support registration from China, please mark it directly on the website.

My account has been closed again, please tell me how to sign up in China without a vpn? If you do not support to sign up from China with vpn, please tell me either.

Three questions:

1. How can a Chinese user register with smarthost without being flagged as a fraud?

2. Is user information shared among server providers?

3. Will I be kicked out of LET?:-)

Yeah just input some information in the same way you did when registering for the host. Since you had two accounts, it may be under details that match one but not the other.

This person either supplied fraudulent information to us on the account and/or is a one of the worst abusers/spammers we ever had and we will not do business with them (fraudrecord score is thru the roof). If the latter… they use multiple names and accounts, but we have ways to correlate most of them and know it is the same person(s).

This issue has nothing to do with China, we have many Chinese clients, and happy to do business with them.

It's not totally unreasonable that the customer be able to find it since it is public. But the customer should also be aware of a detail that helps them find it.

There are a lot of cases where abusers use the same details as others who just use fake details, which causes them to be lumped together in one big FR report, despite not being connected.

I've actually never received any emails about abuse and scams from any of the server providers, so I wonder where the abuse and scams that smarthost is aware of from me are coming from. I got my first VPS from RackNerd on October 24th, 2022, if smarthost got the information earlier than that, then I think it must be from the void.

But you're only comparing the details from 2 of your accounts with them. Either @SmartHost is exceptionally incompetent or you most likely know why they're linking you to 1 or more other accounts besides those two. Surely the connection is more than just "Two people using the same public VPN service" or something, as that would be so incompetent that I can't bring myself to assume anyone would base such a conclusion on something so flimsy.

So I really think if you try very hard, that you'll understand why you've been connected to more than 2 accounts, and that information might lead you further.

I'll concede that I don't know if @SmartHost is that incompetent, but I'd like to think they've been around long enough to know better than to make a rookie mistake.

I don't think it's because of the VPN, it's private and they allow users from China to use the VPN for Google verification. I thought it might be because of my name, but I'm using my own name and a new email address.:)
@SmartHost is a solid server provider, they offer servers at great prices and free test servers at LET, I'm glad I got a test from the crowd, but their fraud detection isn't friendly to me, I guess I haven't had a chance to test the free plan either, maybe they can reselect the test subjects, and I don't want to embarrass both parties. Allow me to apologize if I have disturbed smarthost.

Use providers that have a Bill Manager control panel. They do not check IPs and do not use various fraud detectors. Do not sign up with providers who use the WHMC control panel

I matched their language in a ticket when they called me a scammer for not refunding. They were mad that they bought an email service and not a mailchimp-style email marketing service. They got so mad it was honestly pretty funny.
