Weird proxmox issue

Hi everyone!
I am experiencing something weird. My proxmox node has 4 cpu cores / 8 threads.
I only have a single LXC container online (ubuntu 20.04. no apps installed after creation).
(the problem also happens for vm's)
this is the CPU usage of the container:
but the cpu usage of the host is 20% constantly
when I turn off the container/vm, the cpu usage drops to 0-1 %
MORE INFO:
most cpu intensive processes:

^ Rebooting/Restarting the node does not fix the problem.
Yes, Google is a good friend

This has happened to me. Reinstall will only work.
Yeah, this is what you get when mixing proxmox with desktops :P
I am guilty myself of such things, still, that daemon is not needed even on a desktop install IMO. But to each their own, I like to mount and manage drives manually, others might not.
For desktop use, one can install any desktop friendly distro and then use virsh to manage vms, keep things simple.
The device used to be a desktop. I removed all the gnome packages, but that's it. I will probably reïnstall everything to ensure there are no bugs this time.
