I know it's a stranger as the pictures hadn't even been sent to anyone so this isn't a disgruntled ex, there's no baddie I can go after. So I've sent literally thousands of emails and I'm down to 3 hosts who ignore me...enter Verasel. I basically wanted to know if there was anyone else, a data centre perhaps that I could contact. I've tried Terrahost, they say they are only an IP transit provider, I'm still trying to figure out if that counts as a caching provider under the DSA. I hired a lawyer but I can't afford to go any further than writing a cease and desist which they've done and been ignored. I'm left just trying to gain as much knowledge as I can as an absolute novice to figure out my next step. Maybe this is a classic novice move and someone will be kind enough to tell me if I should delete this post asap, but I'm clutching at straws and still refusing to accept that forever is an acceptable punishment for daring to take pictures of myself and having a weak iCloud password but I literally don't know anymore

Forget about removing anything. If something lands on the internet, it will stay there. Storing sensitive data online(iCloud in this case) always poses a risk.

No not the same story inland. If I’d read the comments there maybe I wouldn’t have posted. No iCloud doesn’t have 2FA by default I turned it on when I found out. Althoughgggh full disclosure I did find a really old email from years ago thanking me for turning it on which suggests I maybe once had it on but somehow it got turned off in the years since I signed up, so maybe it was actually me who accidentally turned it off I wouldn’t have done that on purpose.
I mean who knows maybe I’m wrong about iCloud but I really can’t see how else it happened- the pictures all stop at a certain year and I didn’t have enough space to backup my pics after that date so it makes sense that that was how it happened..although I think that was just WhatsApp pics- my phone was stolen years back too and I can’t remember how quickly I wiped it so again I just don’t know for certain. But it happened- I’m now aware that I’m scrambling to make you believe me but also just giving you more reasons to blame me but I’m also aware that unless I’m going to change your mind I’m not going to change your mind.

Most of the commonly used online services transparently implemented 2FA login verification in the recent years. You can't really login to actively used e-mail accounts anymore using just the leaked passwords, except for crappy providers like Yahoo or Microsoft.
