I have what appears to be an impossibly difficult-to-find requirement - ie something where I can have decent size, reduntant SSD on an otherwise low end server.

Must be a dedicated server or colo server with the server provided at low cost.

RAM - min 8 gigs, but 16 gigs preferred.
CPU - single CPU, min 2 cores, 4 cores preferred.
DISK Type - SSD - SATA or NMVE.
DISK Size - 2 * 2TB SSD or 4 * 1TB SSD. I'm happy to provide disks and take responsibility for their health. Also OK with 4*1tb SSD.
BANDWIDTH - 100 megabit port is OK. Save for syncing disks which would use 2tb and happens very rarely, usage averaged over any 15 minute will be less then 1 megabit.

DDoS protection - not needed

Number of IPv4 's - 1 is OK. a /29 would be ideal. IPV6 a bonus but not required.

Location: flebible Mild preference for Asia or Europe. I'd consider Australia, US West Coast.

Budget: Lower is better - absolute max is US$60 / month. US$40 per month or less is preferable. (otherwise I just put a box on a home fibre connection!)

Minimum Uptime: 99.9%

Billing period: Monthly. I'll commit to a 1 year + contract provided performance is reasonable.

Other notes/requirements:

  • Must be located in a DC or similar - AIrcon, UPS, Backup Generator, Multihomed.
  • Use will include a backup mail server (strict controls or who can send low volumes), so must have reverse DNS matching forward, allow port 25 and IP space not be flagged as end user block.
  • I will need IPMI or equivalent.
  • Fair terms around swapping out hardware/remote hands. (I can fully manage software)
  • Payment - I'll pay via Credit card or Paypal.
  • Software or Hardware RAID OK.
