Which providers offer hourly billing KVM with nested virt?

Which providers offer hourly billing KVM with nested virt?

HostVDS appears to be on of them but they don't appear to be a solid act.

Any others?

I am not 100% sure, but I thought Digital Ocean has hourly billing with nested virt.
Just a question, why do you need hourly billing?

    For short term experimentation

Define solid act. Judging by my own experiment with a desktop computer, nested virt performance is pretty atrocious.

What type of CPU and virtualization did you use to test it?

Some users here say it is fine with their providers.

    Why not Vultr?

Core i7 from 2018 (laptop). KVM inside virtualbox.

I guess it's fine for most web stuff since throughput is often more important than latency. Just couldn't stand the GUI stutter.

I didn't know the bigger clould providers offered like DO and Vultr offered nested virt.

They don't advertise it as part of their offerings.

I recommend you to order a kimsufi dedicated server for that.

  • Vultr without nested virt

  • Azure is fine
