Proxmox Setup with PFsense on OVHCLOUD KimSufi.
Hi All,
Thanks for your replys on my previous post. I went ahead and ended up purchasing a Kimsufi server from OVHcloud.
I DIDNT read I was limited to 1 x ipv4 address!
I have installed Proxmox, It is sitting and accessible over IPV4 and Reverse DNS.
I am needing to setup something where my VM'S/Containers can access the internet sharing the same IP (as limited to 1)
Looking online it seems I need to setup PFsense to act as a router (like in a home network) and have the Vms/Containers attached to that.
It seems I need to pass the MAC to the PFsense VM so that it works.
Would anyone beable to point me in the right direction? I am a little out of my usual depth of a Raspberry pi with docker! But never a bad idea to get stuck in at the deep end!

You don't need pfsense for that, just use iptables.
Could you point me in a direction? New to this, I have used UFW in the past.
Look for masquerading (https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Network_Configuration#sysadmin_network_masquerading) and PREROUTING with iptables

If you really want to go down the pfsense route, you just need to add a new network bridge with the CIDR you want in proxmox and assign the bridge to all your VMs and pfsense. Just configure the public IP interface as a WAN, and the bridge as a LAN.

This guide will get you IPv4 connectivity as well as IPv6 if you are interested in that.
@Maounique
add this to the /etc/network/interfaces
And then the VMs you assign should have the range under that subnet.
It will have network connectivity.
This guide will serve you extremely well.
