OVH - transfer procedure remotely

adnsadns Member

Hello,

How do you transfer any OVH service if you or the other customer in a different region or country? OVH verifies the user with a printed, hand-written and scanned papper and personal documents, so if the IRL meet is not an option how do you do it?

  • You can transfer via Contact management from the control panel.(I have tried it only within IE accounts)
I don't think they allow transfers if your account belongs to the US region.

The account is in IE region. I can edit the administrator, technical and billing contacts. If I change all of them to a new account, will my server entirely moved so the new customer can pay, cancel and administering it?

Well, That's doubtful because If you have any existing unpaid invoices in your account the process won't work & I don't think it will allow to transfer it into a brand new account.
for an example; I had a server as i recall correctly it was a SYS-SAT-32 which I have transferred to one of my friend's account which is 4-6 months old,VAT exempted currently 2 KS-1 servers in the account got successfully transferred.

Thanks for your help. I'll try change all contacts today and if not works, I'll fill the procedure.

It worked wel. I entered the new contact info to technical, administrator and billing. We got emails, confirmed these, and the server went from my account to my friend's control panel in a few minutes.
