HostHatch storage VPS in LA, intermittently slow performance for over 2 days.

Hi guys,

Past two-three days, the performance has been extremely slow, so much so that's it's not even usable. Every task takes 10-15 minutes to run, including any trivial command on CLI.

Anyone else experiencing this in LA?

Thanks.

Have you tried reaching out to support with any tests/info?

I have not. I thought the cheap storage plan didn't come with support. Perhaps I'm mistaken. Shall I reach out and open a ticket? I didn't want to bother you guys so I asked here. My apologies if posting here initially was incorrect to do.

I will try to gather some logs and information just in case I should need to open a ticket. I just checked performance again, and it seems to be okay right now. It has been unusable all day today but seems okay right now.

Other than this little hiccup in the service, I'm extremely happy with the purchase. Thanks again for a great deal.

All of our plans come with support - just slower (sometimes much slower depending on the complexity of the problem) on the highly discounted plans.

Please gather as much data as possible when the problem appears and open a ticket with us. Thanks.

Oh, I gotcha. Thank you. I'll get the information ready in case I need to bother you. Cheers.

Run them with time and when one is silly, report it.

Perhaps related, perhaps not -- my HostHatch server has been down for the last 6+ hours in the Vienna datacenter (the IP doesn't respond to PING at all). I contacted support 4+ hours ago via email (Ticket ID: 442751), no response so far. Unsure what's going on because the management server has been down, too: https://manage.hosthatch.com/login and, additionally, all the looking glass links in all the datacenters appear not to be working: https://hosthatch.com/features#datacenters

Is the data safe, @hosthatch? Any ETA for the services to be back up?

Fingers crossed and good luck with restoring the connectivity! <3

It's down also for me (.AT server, not new management portal).

There's a little banner "We are investigating an active network problem in Vienna. More updates to follow. Service should be restored within 30 minutes." so I didn't bother to open ticket however it's down for most of the day.

    Thank you @plumberg, cloud.hosthatch.com works!

@Mumbly Seeing the same message and wondering when it was posted. Let's hope the issue gets resolved soon-ish, the server in AT has been down pretty much the whole working day...

    @jan

I saw something like "We are investigating an active network problem in Vienna" around 6 - 7 hours ago when I logged into portal for the first time today, however I don't know when they added "Service should be restored within 30 minutes" - is it within the last half hour or several hours ago :)
Either way, they are aware of outage and work on it, so there's no use to open more tickets unless stuff don't come back anytime soon and there won't be update.

M247 has been having an issue in Vienna since about 7hrs ago. Some of the nodes have been restored hours ago, one node is remaining.

Indeed! The reason why I opened my ticket 2 hours after the outage started was that I wasn't able to log in to the console and didn't see the message. @hosthatch Might be worth redirecting https://manage.hosthatch.com/ to https://cloud.hosthatch.com/ insteading of letting it error out.

Good news, thank you for the update and for working on the restore!
