Before I order the middle one here https://signaltransmitter.de/en/rent-a-storage-kvm-server is there any better configuration out there for a storage VPS in Germany? This one I am looking at is 16e/mo for 4 cores, 8GB and 1TB of storage. Thanks

    Another option NetCup RS 4000 https://www.netcup.de/vserver/ it's 1 TB SSD but it costs twice as much but with 10 dedicated cores and 32GB of RAM, so it's much bigger and should be a lot faster

    Hmm I don‘t know exactly what you‘ve expected. You did a yabs on a time when a lot of customers are using their storage server to make a backup..

    You should try it again on another time and also give our SSD cache (we have a 1TB ssd cachecade acceleration on every storage host) the chance to move your data to the ssd Tier.

    Let me check that tomorrow in detail for you, if we can increase the performance :)

    Does it necessarily have to be in Germany, I have a very good VPS (Netherlands) from LiteServer which I am about to put for transfer soon. 4C AMD EPYC 7763, 8GB RAM, 2TB HDD RAID-10, 100Mbps Unmetered, 1 IPv4, /64 IPv6 99e/yr Let me know if you are interested, it would save me a transfer thread.

    Recommended:** Fastpipe** -> Cloud SE-4 (SSD) + Block Storage 15.5 euros. They have their own control panel and backups included.

    @vitobotta did you notice these storage offers from server-factory.com that have become available? The biggest in stock is 3vCPU/6Gb/3TB but I think they have 4vCPU/8Gb/4TB as well (at least when I checked the upgrade options for my 1TB machine).

    Performance is pretty snappy for a storage server and I think price is also competitive.

    I have a 1 core Epyc 2GB 2TB storage VPS in NL, and it scores better than your 4 core whatever in every part of the yabs compared to your ST one!
