Your storage VPS, can they be upgraded? Meaning upgrade when needed from 1TB VPS to a 2TB VPS? Or is the only option, purchase a new 2TB VPS?

Yes, 1TB up to 2TB, is an easy upgrade, but anything above 2TB requires a manual install via ISO with GPT partitioning. So if you plan on ever going past 2TB eventually, then best just do that from the start then for easy upgrades later.
