What's the size of the DB?
If you have SSH access you can automate some mysqldump and rsync.
My default routine is:
1. Use crontab to set mysqldump to dump all needed databases to a certain backup folder
2. Use restic to create secured incremental backups
3. Use rclone to sync restic backups to Level 2 backup servers
4. Run rclone on Level 2 backup servers to sync backups to Level 3 backup servers.
Other than that, use Hetrixtools to monitor the backup servers.
could use something like the free plan of https://backupsheep.com/pricing/
Depends on size of the DB as in some cases will require to pull data from DB server to backup server as this way you be able to backup bigger size DB.
You can use jetbackup.
Hey, Thanks a lot for your replies. The DB is small, few GB.
Does anybody knows a Saas that can do that for cheap/free tier? Or other simple solution
Directadmin has guide for it and uses borgbackup which is equally good.
https://docs.directadmin.com/directadmin/backup-restore-migration/borg.html
use rclone to backup to onedrive or google drive and don't forget to encrypt backup.
If your package has remote access feature, you can create crontab on another server to dump all your db.
