I'd read the following
to replace the WP cron jobs function, cron jobs are run by CF every min (you choose the interval) instead so it saves resources of the backend server by not having to run Wordpress cron at all.
I use Cloudflare for DNS only. Will workers work if I do not use Cloudflare CDN?
should be able to since CF workers will provide you with a CF hostname (yourusername.workers.dev) and the feature does not rely on DNS/CDN function unless you wanna use your own custom domain.
private = browser only.
public = any intermediate cache between edge/origin and browser + browser.
yes

CF workers works fine with WP?
For what?
Amazing!
Used to push over 80TB a month through CloudFlare with a Mastodon instance at one point. Video and photo files.
No issues for nearly a year while running the instance.
I did voluntarily upgrade to the $20 plan after we broke 50TB per month.
I have heard of people being asked to upgrade to at least $20 a month after braking the 50TB mark. Others were asked to go to the $200 plan.
CF = YES!
Correct? for static assets.
If you use page rules @ CloudFlare you should be able to configure caching specifically. I think they have a limit of 3 with the free plan. With our CDN you can setup 100% caching easily.
Both should do the trick
Now it has 10 cache rules instead of 3 on free tier.
So total 10+3
Which one?

Give it a try for free. You can just enable caching on the default settings and it will cache everything.
