OVHcloud is recurring offer is lost after the price increase

I ordered the KS-12 on 8/30/2022 and it had a recurring of 30%off, but after the price increase, this discount was lost. I opened the ticket and was told: You do not have the discounted price as the servers are not committed anymore.

On your invoices before you lost the discount, was the server listed at the discounted price, or listed at full price with a separate ‘Other GIFT’ section?

    It exists as 'Other GIFT'.

Did you make any change to the commitment such as changing to manual renewal?

Their offers usually contain “Offer valid until service cancellation” in the small print so bit worrying to see them backpedal on that

I haven't made changes to the commitment, I've kept this manually renewing.

  • I think they had put the words like "we have the right to terminate the discount" or something in the tos, so it's legal. Just customers don't like that, no wonder they will lose some customers.

  • I think you had 1 or 3 months discount.

Manually renewing is with no commitment though? Is it possible to set up a commitment without auto renew these days?

It goes against what they have posted here https://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1879913 especially the last post

The same wording “Offer valid until server cancellation.”

This does not give much confidence in the new Eco deals

They still maintained that I didn't have a subscription so the discount was cancelled.

Try and open a ticket to the "Complaints Department" under the Billing section, but if it is just one measly KS server, they're not going to spend the human resources on you to fix this for you. I know a few people who have multiple servers and are facing this issue, and even for them things are going slow, which means having to pay 1-2 months of full price rentals.

Their support specialist told me: Impacted customers will be contacted separately and will get a credit within 10 days.
