My first pc was an used Pentium 4 with 1gb ram and 128gb ide was kinda amazing at that time.
But the memory amounts... back then 64MB was plenty for Win95, now I had to upgrade to 32GB to do some stuff...

I had a HUGE 20GB HDD...
Kinda my story, it's just my graphics card when i got the new sticks.

And nowadays even 20TB isn't enough.
I 'member those too
Now my 3 years old phone has more storage... 64 internal + 128 microSD
No microsd for me only pure 128gb on phone 😂
RACKNERD VPS PARTY!!!
With dose two?
My first home server had 386, 4 or 8MB ram, was running slackware (don't remember version), some 3GB HDD, and was reaponsible for internet. At my place we could get internet with insane bandwidth prices during work hours and free from 5pm to 8am... So the server was dialing at 5:05pm and dropping the connection at 7:55am
So that by no mistake a single packet could go through the line
I suddenly remembers the telephone lines which are extinct now.
Do you remember the rotary phones?
I remember but as show cases.
Would you know how to use these?
Yeah pretty much used one despite being warned not to touch! Afterwards is a painful story.

The worst thing is - I am going to miss this GA
I already heading to bed, and Chef seams to be taking a break
Hmm i am also heading to bed, but will be on phone.
one of the cons made a badge with a rotary dial input and all the young'uns had no clue what it was, lol
My grandfather worked with first automatic telephone stations. There were no computers back then... So there is also a mechanical reasoning for the rotary dial. It was perfectly synced to give enough time for relays to switch to correct number-line
Gotta have that load balancing working somehow.
that makes sense
I don't think we hyped this thread enough for another giveaway.
