O, I'm one of those Linux people who doesn't like surveillance in my OS :sunglasses:

Well nvidia sucks on linux so gotta use windows and doors!

Nvidia is terrible, years ago. Did you try Nvidia lonix now?

Don't wanna, the trial and errors with nvidia and linux cost me my now dead laptop's battery.

    it killed the battery ?

Yeah installing proprietary nvidia drivers just made the battery standby time really bad. It couldn't last an hour with those drivers on. and after a week it decreased towards half an hour.

after a month or so i decided to roll back to windows but the battery standby didn't increased, might have beed the time for battery to be replaced but why did i had configur nvidia on Linux, the battery could have lasted a few months.

    very unfortunate that it happened

Long story short, i prefer linux without nvidia proprietary drivers for various reasons.

Did you try Linux with nvidia recently? 5 years ago install nvidia driver on a laptop with nvidia optimus is a disaster, but nowadays it's much better.

If you didn't configure it, you need to turn nvidia graphic card off manually, but it's simple. I'd say it is much more efficient than Windows, on Linux you can control everything.

with Arch or Ubuntu, you can use Nvidia in a few commands, but if you don't want to try, Windows is also good.

    Hi @dustinc
I already have an account as an individual, can I use that account to sign up for services for my company, like additional contacts? And the company name would appear on the invoice? And separate billing methods? Or should I just sign up with another email address to keep them separated?

And the cPanel accounts on reseller plans, can I host sites using my "main" account for myself do that I can actually sell 5 accounts?
    Thanks

guess when it goes fully open source it will start rocking on Linux

Waiting since forever for that only!

that probably is gonna be a long wait

Imma stick to windows till then, also i can't even afford a new SSD so forget i am gonna get a mac!

there are also windows LTSC editions which are less bloated and usable for the extra paranoid ones

what's that LTSC edition? never heard of it before
