    Dear Valued Customer,

we would like to inform you of an upcoming maintenance involving server node 10GKVMDE1, as part of our infrastructure upgrade and migration to the VirtFusion platform. This new control panel provides advanced features such as Backups/Snapshots, SSH Key Management, Custom ISO support, and more.

To ensure a safe and smooth transition, all VPS services currently hosted on 10GKVMDE1 will be temporarily migrated to an alternative VirtFusion node solely to facilitate the migration process. Once the operating system upgrade and node migration are fully completed, the services will be migrated back to the original node on VirtFusion. As a result, your VPS will experience two periods of downtime, corresponding to each migration step.

    Migration Details

    Date & Time: Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 01:00 AM CEST (GMT+2)
Expected Downtime: Approximately 30 minutes – 01 hour per migration
Impact: No changes to your data or IPv4 address. IPv6 may be updated

    Reason:

    • Migration of node 10GKVMDE1 to the VirtFusion platform
    • Operating system upgrade and infrastructure optimization

Please note: In cases where direct migration is not possible due to operating system or filesystem-related issues, your VPS may be temporarily relocated to another GreenCloud location to maintain service availability while a permanent migration solution is arranged. During this temporary period, your VPS may be assigned a new IPv4 address. If this occurs, a separate follow-up email will be sent with further details and the next steps required to complete the migration.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we aspire to enhance our services. For any questions or assistance, our support team is always here to help.

    Best regards,
    GreenCloud Team.

So no Black Friday 2026 deals like past years this time?

  • Yep, got a lot of those emails as well, I guess they are patching Januscape. A few other providers also sent an email, which is nice.

Got the e-mail for one of my VPSes of them. And just after that at least 2 of my VPSes went offline. One rebooted and the other one I had to start again myself...

    Happy Patching Day, everyone!

The good news is that we have finished patching Januscape (CVE-2026-53359) and the companion CVE-2026-46113 across all of our nodes.

If your VMs have not rebooted yet, don't worry - you are on a node utilizing KernelCare Livepatch. Because KernelCare has only released live patches for a few specific kernels, we have manually patched the remaining kernels, which did require a reboot. Please note that some nodes required additional effort and downtime as we upgrade them from Debian 12 to Debian 13.

If you still experience any issues with your VMs, please contact our Techs. We sincerely apologize for the short notice regarding this maintenance, but safety and security are our top priorities.

What happened with the storage servers in Phoenix?

I got this email while I was on vacation, but I didn't get any previous notification about this VPS, and WHMCS doesn't show anything in the email history either.

I'm back from vacation now and was going to migrate the data to the new VPS. The old VPS still boots but the storage drive is gone (only the NVMe works). Did the entire server fail? It's not an issue for me since I can restore from backup, but I'm just not quite sure what happened.

    Hello,

We are following up regarding our previous notification about your VPS 173.249.xxx.xxx hosted on AZ-Storage1.

To complete the maintenance and restore the storage node to a healthy state, we need to proceed with migrating all affected VPSs to a new Server node in another location. However, we have not yet received your preferred migration location.

Please let us know which location you would like us to provision your replacement VPS in:

    Staten Island, NY
    Ogden, UT
Please reply to this email or open a support ticket with your preferred location. Once we receive your confirmation, we will provision your replacement VPS and provide you with the access details so you can begin migrating your data.

As mentioned in our previous email, the current server is operating on a temporary recovery. To minimize the risk of further service interruption, we kindly ask that you complete the data migration to your new VPS as soon as possible after your replacement VPS has been provisioned.

If you have any questions or need assistance during the migration process, please let us know. We will be happy to help.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best regards,

    The GreenCloud Team
