Having a server with 40 Mbps Uplink - What can I do?

Hi folks,

I have a ~900 Mbps download and 40 Mbps upload home internet connection. I was thinking what if I were to expose one port to internet with a reverse proxy from a rasperry pi.

How far do you think I can go in terms sharing files and documents when I want to access from outside speedwise?

I have 100 Mbps upload residential connection.
I expose port 443 directly on the router.

Downloading files from outside is 3 MB/s.
The bottleneck is USB 2.0 diks, not network.
