GreenCloudVPS 9999 Birthday RO E5 + secret push-up video

yoursunnyyoursunny Member, IPv6 Advocate

This is a service transfer offer for GreenCloudVPS 9999 Birthday RO plan from 9th birthday sale.
I decide to let it go as I switched to iHostART NAT 50GB plan that better suits my needs.

Specification

  • 9 vCPU, Xeon E5-2698v4, 30% persistent usage allowance
  • 9GB RAM
  • 99GB SSD
  • 1 dedicated IPv4 and /112 on-link IPv6
  • 9TB monthly transfer, counted in both directions

Information

  • YABS benchmark: YABS archive, YABSdb
  • network looking glass: Bucharest
  • host node: KVMRO1
  • download test: curl https://vps7-green-otp-20221125.yoursunny.dev/20221125145217.mov >/dev/null
  • involucration risk: 5%
  • price increase risk: 10%

A secret push-up video is included on the server.
Buyer may find this video by mounting a rescue disk.
Seller will not publish this video elsewhere until 7 days after the transaction.

Service Price paid to provider

  • billing cycle: every three years
  • recurring price: USD $99
  • next invoice date: 2025-10-10

Provider Transfer Policy

Service transfers are allowed and encouraged.
Certain transfers are subject to $10 billing fee.
Seller will cover this fee up to $10.

I have confirmed transfer eligibility for this particular service with the provider.

Transfer Fee paid to @yoursunny

  • PayPal: USD $121.99 (seller pays transaction fee)
  • Venmo or Bluebird or CashApp: USD $113.99 (no transaction fee)
  • personal check: USD $121.99 (buyer pays postage; seller pays processing fee; subject to approval via Bluebird app)
  • WeChat Pay: CNY ¥823.99 (no transaction fee)
  • push-ups: not applicable to this offer because you can't buy push-ups with push-ups

If the transfer fails to complete due to reasons outside of seller's control, payment gateway transaction fee will be deducted from the refund.

Recipient Priority

This service transfer is potentially in high demand.
I have already received 5 messages requesting this service transfer.
If you are interested in receiving this powerful VPS, you can comment #22pushups in this thread.

On Nov 27, if there are multiple perspective buyers, I will randomly pick who gets the dibs.
Each potential buyer will then have at least 24 hours to complete the transfer, before the chance is passed to the next potential buyer.

The random ordering will determined with the following procedure:

  1. Take the output value of NIST Randomness Beacon at 11/27/2022 19:09 +0000 timestamp.
  2. Concatenate the username of a potential buyer with the beacon output value (text format, upper case), and compute the SHA256 digest of the concatenated string.
  3. Sort the SHA256 digests in ascending order.

Example command of digest computation:

$ echo -n 'AstroDD20C58BB7FB1972B5CD7DB688572222B6B7C4F5AFC35B4465323C3ED8D9DB70EE6EBB75FA474035006D9E6448B50A3AB0B9A18ED75D5AE51F374F7108A704E0' | sha256sum

There are a few hours left to claim priority on this service transfer.

Sneak peak on my upcoming service transfers:

    • IncogNET 512MB $25/year
    • Webhosting24 1GB,21GB $13/year

These will be posted next month after I re-deploy apps onto the new servers I acquired this BF.

It appears that the NIST Randomness Beacon is offline.
Current time is Sun Nov 27 23:17:35 UTC 2022 but the latest pulse is 2022-11-27T12:26:00.000Z.

I have decided to switch to Cloudflare Randomness Beacon to determine recipient priority for this offer.
I will use round #2472999 , which is expected to arrive approximately 6 hours from now.

  • @yoursunny How is your experience with GreenCloudVPS? I have just got few 6666 plans but my IPs are getting null routed when trying to runs YABS. I am worried if my IP will keep getting null routed even for a simple speed test.

As you can see from the top post, the YABS benchmark completed on this particular server.

I believe it might be due to many people running YABS with the current sales. Hopefully it will stabilize when the sales end. How is your overall experience with GreenCloudVPS? Your opinion holds value. Thank you!

I believe this only happens on some locations, and maybe because you are running multiple YABS?

FWIW, I have SG, UK (Coventry), NL, NYC, HKG and SJC and all completed YABS successfully, and I've done a couple on each (a few days apart).

I have Singapore nodes for more than a year.

SSH feels laggy because I'm on the opposite end of the world.
The machine is otherwise performing well.
I didn't witness any IPv6 outage in many months.

I only used billing support for service transfers.
Response time is usually 5~20 minutes.

    Sold to @plumberg .

Will they find the secret push-up video?
For the record, it contains 22 push-ups, hence the hashtag.

Statistics from the "download test" HTTP server:

    sunny@vps7:/var/log/caddy$ wc -l 20221125.log
    207 20221125.log

    sunny@vps7:/var/log/caddy$ jq '.request.remote_ip' 20221125.log | sort -u | wc -l
    21

IP address is truncated to IPv4 /24 and IPv6 /48.
If multiple users in the same subnet accesses the server, they would be counted as one.

So I won a raffle in Qeru Black Friday thread: 1GB KVM in Miami.
I already have same location with VirmAche, so I don't intend to redeem this prize.
If anyone wants it, write "🥳 Qemu is Awesome 🥳" in this thread.
I will send the coupon code to one user, chosen with NIST Randomness Beacon, pulse at 11/30/2022 05:12 -0500.
