I already know AlphaVPS and Hosthatch that charge similar amounts. However, I would like servers that also ignore DCMA or at least allow me to backup data before suspending my account.

I will not use the server to host files. It will only serve to keep the main site online.

We usually only suspend servers (with notice) for DMCA if we get a proper court order or legal complaint (either over phone or physical mail).

We would recommend choosing Amsterdam as your VPS location, but any location (other than UK) would be fine.

It's quite not the same thing. A court order means that a juge ordered the site to be shut down (a legal process did happen to make this possible) a legal complain be it by phone or by snail mail could come from any "layer"...

Here's how I'll put it:

We usually don't respond to automated email DMCA requests, which account for almost all DMCA complaints that we've gotten so far.

If we do get a physical letter (i.e. a cease and desist) or phone call from a lawyer, we may forward it to the client for them to review.

If we do get a court order, we will be required by law to comply with the court order and take any action.
