    Wild guess, but I believe that after an offer it's more like 200CCU, which is a lot on a regular (unoptimized!) MySQL/PHP setup.

    I have a feeling you are very very very underestimating users here (and bots, especially for Spartan).

    Plus I am not shocked they can't handle traffic like that - like there is no point in upgrading the shit running for one time a year, 5 minutes DDOS - it's not worth time/money.
