You get root access, and the jailbreak community is very strong - they ported useful libraries and tools over to Apple’s ARM so it’s very easy to develop apps and stuff

I got an m1 recently and being a windows user for years, not really liking it. It just sits there while I use my old windows laptop to get most things done

Really? All of my apps I use (IntelliJ IDEs, discord, chromium, pritunl) have native apps for macOS and I can’t argue with the performance and battery life. Is it just macOS being macOS or some other reason you don’t like M1? I’d like to hear your opinions!
the keybinds are fucked on apple, but for work/programming i love it, anything else, definetly windows
Well, 12th gen intel devices are catching up in that front

yeah but they can't catch up because ARM is simply better than x86
No doubt for performance and battery life. It’s just trivial (but annoying nevertheless) things like keyboard shortcuts Win, Win+D, Win+E, and so on.
Ah, yeah I see, when I tried it it was a bit annoying that some of the keybinds weren’t there (and using Command instead of Control always messes me up)
Yes, for me beginner issues I think. Need some more ‘getting used to’ there.
