    Hi @Gedrean -- I'd recommend a Debian or Ubuntu operating system for this -- maybe something like Ubuntu 18.04 or 20.04. If you change your mind down the road, you can always reinstall your server via the SolusVM control panel:

    I also would love to know if it’s possible for me
    to install my own operating system on a kvm vps. if so, i will purchase today.
    uploading an install iso and walking through install through kvm would be much preferred over a console interface. by the way, the operating system is plan 9.
