  • YES, YES, WE WANT A GIVEAWAY!!

  • @dustinc I have an unrelated question for you.
Is there any way that a provider could offer cPanel shared hosting with "unlimited websites/domains" for $3 a month based on the way that cPanel pricing works ?

Yes. I have such a service. Though I don't know that it's offered any longer, and I subscribed many a year ago. Not the fastest but unlimited everything for $35 a year is not a deal I'm going to let go of.

    (stablehost.com, if you're wondering)

So someone could put 1,500 to 2,000 parked domains on it if they wanted to ? Asking for a friend.

Why you don't want to use the operation system?

  • @sonu said: Why you don't want to use the operation system?

    because i can't

i have a pc with a drive i can't stick anywhere except that pc, and 1 usb stick
i can flash an iso on the stick, but not on the drive (target)
i spent >6 hours and still no solution
crashed >40 times as well, something would just hang up as ubuntu is too heavy or lubuntu would say no drive detected (there is clearly a working drive)

  • wowowowowow :)

Did you try to use a smaller Linux distro like Arch Linux? Ubuntu indeed is too heavy.

balenaEtcher is what I use to flash an ISO to a USB drive. Then use the USB to boot and install the OS on the second computer. If you have no computer with an OS that you can use to flash the USB drive, this will not help.

    you dont understand
i wanna flash it on the drive, not usb
the drive won't fit in my pc however where i got balena

ordering the adapter will take me a week, so i might as well just wait after christmas
or finally find a pc/server under 500€ that fulfils my simple requirements and install it on that as a vm/whatever on a standard drive somewhen next year

spent 6h too many on this i guess

  • I see what you are saying now. With only one usb, I don't know how you would accomplish that.

  • I don't think we can have any giveaways tonight, because we are not hype enough.

Let me add some hype and wisdom words.
