Torrent allowed vps?
Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if Hetzner allowed for torrent?
I was gonna go with buyvm but it’s hard to get stock with them sometimes. (Yes I had contacted them if it’s okay to torrent and they’re okay with it)
Or if there’s other suggestion for it?
I am wishing to get something around the budget of <10 similar to what buyvm could offer.
1TB storage and 100-1000mbps (preferably 10tb above)
And torrent as in illegal shit like TVs Movies etc, not Linux ISOs
Thanks

I doubt Hetzner will allow torrenting because they're Germany-based. You can try LiteServer HDD storage plans. https://liteserver.nl/hdd-storage-vps/
Their pricing and specs are pretty good, however I can’t find any information on their website regarding whether torrent is allowed.
Do you had any experience hosting with them?
Yes, I did. They're a notable provider in NL. You can search for "torrent" in the AUP. They allow seedboxes on their HDD plans.

If you are using private trackers you wont have any issue with hetzner
This. Never use public trackers with them.
Why don't you go with a seedbox? https://www.feralhosting.com/pricing

5.40$ per year for 50hdd can be combined more vps’s @Calin
and this one 10tb

Are you sure? I can't see it in the link.
Guess I looked at the wrong place earlier. I was looking at their KB and found nothing.
Alright I’ll look into it thanks a lot mate.
Because I’m working on a new project that essentially provide a seedbox service. I had written a whole sets of web ui that works with the torrent application rpc.
I don’t control the trackers used which mean it probably include public tracker so hetzner is out of the question now.
@johnlth93
This is low-end community. You don't need Hetzner, you need a seebox. We have a low-end provider here specialised on configured seedbox offers (PulsedMedia); just ask him an offer, or wait for Black Friday offers.
Novogara / Swiss-VPS

Well I don't need a seedbox because I’m working on a new project that essentially provide a seedbox service. I had written a whole sets of web ui that works with the torrent application rpc. What I need is a VM.
If you wish to host a seedbox service you could contact a provider already established and be a reseller. This way you can minimise your work, giving you time to learn how they do things and improve from there.
Or you could simply get a whole dedicated server collocated in a more grey DMCA location (like Romania). You can split this dedicated server into virtual machines with operating system templates preconfigured as seedbox so you can sell and advertise them as seedbox & VPS at the same time (2 in 1).
Torrent (personal/legal usage only – seedboxes need to be limited on HDD VPS Plans)
Doesn’t sound like public torrents are allowed
@johnlth93 don't worry. I have good suggestions to you, this is pretty sure they may allow that.
https://alexhost.com/vps/ (in their AUP I don't see anything against it unless you do a thousands of TB)

If they don't allow, they probably allow that in their dedicated servers.
I have been downloading from both public and private trackers for almost a year and haven't had any problems
