So were the price increases meant to cover the Black Friday sales or can we expect that these are not recurring promos?

There’s something tone deaf about increasing all customer’s prices by 9% and then discounting new sales by 50%. But I’m sure I’ll have many more companies to say that to before the month ends.

It's only 50% off location fees (which works out to around 0-16% off for the dedicated servers).

1. Why call something what it isn't? It's not BF.
2. Religion should not be mixed with business.
3. Offering miniscule (to absurd levels) discounts became really popular this year. Posts like these may increase one's visibility, but decrease credibility (if there's space for that), IMO.

Naturally, people from different countries/cultures have different sensitivities, but I would simply point out that "Thank God It's Friday" -- or "TGIF" -- is a common phrase in the English-speaking world, and the intention behind this phrase is very much not to take God's name in vain. The main problem with the title of this thread is that in fact, it's very much not (yet) Black Friday
