Google Workspace Individual Storage will be Increased from 15GB to 1TB for no extra cost!

Google Workspace has been really helpful for small businesses and young entrepreneurs till now. And now, Google is planning to lend another helping hand to all Workspace Individual users. The Tech Giant is now planning to increase the storage space from a mere 15GB to a whopping 1TB for all of its Workspace Individual users.

This upgrade by Google is definitely a much better and relieving move than forcing users to buy YouTube premium; 4 unskippable ads in a row, are you serious? Google has announced that with the new update, every Workspace Individual user will get 1TB of storage space rather than the traditional 15GB.

Also, the new upgrade will let users make a few customizations in their e-mailing experiences too. So as and when every Workspace Individual user gets a 1TB of storage, their never-ending problem of running out of storage will come to an end. Google’s this move will prove to be beneficial for all small businesses and individuals who plan to expand their work online.

    do you mean the basic plan ($6/m) will get a 1TB storage? that's attractive.

    Yes, And they sell the same plan in India for 2.5$~

    i can accept price $6/m. but 30gb currently is meaningless.

    Do I get the 1TB update?

    I am an individual user... Not sure if this plan counts though

    The free edu license is still unlimited.. Pool storage limit still not force..

    Yes,

    If your interested you can use plex to work with g drive. Since g drive allows you to store moves and play them directly from the google servers.
    Before, I never bothered with it, since storage limit was so low.

    Sadly not for India it seems. Until then MS 365 is the only hope for me

    Same. Microsoft family 365 is cheaper if you can share the cost among friends.

    Not worth it then, will stick with MS family, until Google workspace individual plan rolls out

    I'm confused about that as well.. the Google help documents even say it.

    Maybe it means that their in-browser editing/collab/etc. tools only work on 100 file types? But no...

    "You can store over 100 file types in Drive, including PDFs, CAD files and images, and you can easily collaborate on and edit Microsoft Office files without converting them."

    So it's really just Office files you can edit. The other 100 you can store. Except you can store any file type.

    I suppose what they're saying is true even if oddly phrased. Marketing copy was probably written by an AI.

    Google One doesn't have any of the Google Workspace benefits like custom domains and such I believe

    Neither does the Workspace Individual plan which the OP referenced, appear to allow custom domains either?
