    exactly, 9x R's.

    Man of culture.

@NDTN - look at these poor souls! While waiting for offers, this community got so hyped, they started counting and arguing about the "R" in "MOARRRRRRRRR". It's obvious they want more offers from your anniversary. Please help them out and take their money!

Maybe I'm poor, but oh boy I'm wealthy enough to buy 9999 UK/NL !

Even if HW is not ready right now, he could take preorders for EU ;)

They can gwnerate more money from these services or free up IPv4 block and rent it.

BuyShared already did it some time ago.

well then that destroys the 'recurring price' model. I guess I better start looking for 1-3 year contracts like you, I'm not in the mood to have all my idlers becoming more expensive.

  • Is there any kind of backup available? Like daily or snapshot?

  • Is all the excitement about the offers making the MO location strange from a networking perspective? Traceroute stops far far short, and accessing debian mirrors seems sluggish

  • Happy Birthday!

I don't think anything can stay at the same price recurring forever, given running costs (things like electricity, staffing, etc) generally go up in price year over year due to inflation. If the price stays the same, then technically it's getting cheaper every year.

  • Happy Birthday! I have a Premium VPS with them and uptime/performance has been excellent!

    Not necessarily.
My oldest OpenVZ/KVM LEB VPSes with 128MB - 256MB memory on outdated hardware cost me $15 - $20 yearly (for lets say last 10 years).
You can get for this same money 1GB - 2GB memory KVM VPSes today.

I understand that, but for the last few years, many providers have kept recurring prices the same. This winter though, with rising costs and inflation, I guess we should be ready to expect price hikes. I'm writing a piece about it.

That's true while billing plans (included resources) and hardware became terribly outdated for this same money. Time it running fast and with that also hardware age. One can get today way more resources on a way better hardware for the same money as we're paying for those old outdated VPSes.
