Thank you so much! got the new VPS (and #ThanksGTHost too)
Glad to hear! #ThanksInternetport and #ThanksLETteam for bringing it back online.
What default config for old-member can have with current sweden-hardware-specification?
Default config would be what's mentioned... but if you want/need anything else, let me know and I'll see what we can do
Apply Regular Plan
Planned use: testing environment for my small web projects
Preferred location: Fremont- OhanaCraft LLC
1 core
2GB RAM (if possible)
40GB NVMe/SSD/HDD
/64 IPv6 subnet
Thanks to all the generous sponsors and amazing volunteers!
Made 4 loans and a donation on Kiva.org, hope that will qualify for a node at JP or SG. Imgur
All set, you should've received an email with details
Sure thing, once the rest of the requirements are also fulfilled
Hello cheapskates,
we do have some sad news this time, I'm afraid.
Hosteroid has told us that due to the rise in operating costs, especially electricity.
Adding to this the fact they haven't seen any increase in traffic or new customers from the sponsorship they have decided to pull the plug. It's unfortunate, as the location and server has been an excellent performer for the past 3 years but we do really understand their perspective and reasoning.
We'd like to thank Hosteroid for the generous sponsorship over these past 3 years and wish them all the best in their business going further!
ThanksHosteroid
The server will be up until the end of the month. In addition to this post we will also be sending out emails to those with VMs on the server and I'd like everyone to reply to this one with their desired replacement location from those available.
Sorry to see this node go, I just got the donor upgrade and was working on getting more traffic to it as I was pleased with its stability and performance.
But thanks to Hosteroid for having made it available those past years!
Oh, no. Looks like I am a little short of thanks and posts
@daffy , libertylake hypervisor is down
Oof https://status.synteq.com/?incident=01a165c4-a382-73ca-87c7-f20e9ae7009d
Yup, aware. Just have to wait
WA-USA is keeping up and down every 1 or 2 hours 🤔
Amazing initiative.

Planned use: IPv6 lab. Monitoring and testing environment with ipv6 for small apps using docker, like uptime kuma, gatus, among others. Controlled exposure of services via ipv4 ports, for which I prefer vpn or mesh networks like wireguard or tailscale. Goal is to get used to ipv6 with familiar apps.
Preferred location: OH, Microtronix (alternatively any US-East like IL. Also interested in SE or RO to support non-central located providers
)
1x Core (Fair Share)
1GB with justification (I've seen 1G ram provisioned for uptime kuma in caliber node)
10GB NVMe/SSD/HDD its fine
250GB Bandwidth on 100 Mbps Port
IPv4: 20x forwarded ports
IPv6: /64 IPv6 subnet
Thanks to all the generous sponsors and amazing volunteers!

Yup, woke up to quite a few notifications but nothing we can do about that I'm afraid. Seems to have calmed down now though.
I'll get you sorted in a few minutes
Enjoy!
Genius! Thanks @daffy !
I'll give it a try now.
Delicious lil' chicken wing for ipv6 recipes.
ThanksMicrotronix

Thank you to @TheOnlyDK and all the sponsors for making this generous offer available to the community.
I would like to apply for a free VPS under the Regular Plan. My preferred location would be the United Kingdom (UK), if resources are available.
I plan to use the VPS for personal projects, Linux experimentation and self-hosted services. I would also like to gain more hands on experience with server administration.
I have met all the eligibility requirements and registered on the FreeVPS portal.
Client No: 3560Your ID: 612573567157Thank you again for this opportunity and for the sponsors' generosity!

You're all set!
Good luck everyone!
Thanks for your generous offer. I just have a couple more questions.
Is there any option to temporarily increase or burst the VPS resources when needed? For example, if I want to run Docker containers that require more CPU or RAM than whats currently allocated to my VPS.
As mentioned earlier, my main purpose is learning and testing. Occasionally, I'd like to experiment with services that have higher resource requirements, so having the option to temporarily access additional resources would be really helpful.
Also, what are the credits in the control panel used for? Is there any documentation available explaining how the credit system works?
We might be able to bump your resources a bit, let me know how much would be needed for your testing.
The credits in the panel is used to pay the "invoices" for the service. Helps keep people from idling as they have to log in from time to time to pay.
