v6Node - KVM IPv6/NAT in Germany | Ryzen 9 5950X

Aloha!

I’m currently working on another large update for v6Node.

The update will implement Snapshots, better long-term statistics, and scaling options.
If all goes well it’ll go public in the next 1-2 weeks.

To help make the wait more enjoyable, I’m throwing in another offer, 20% off the smaller node and 35% off starting at node L (annual only)

Why v6Node?

I’ve been running most of my infrastructure on IPv6 only for many years now and have been a huge fan of this technique.

Especially when combined with a reverse proxy and/or port forwarding I was able to cover most use cases without wasting expensive IPv4 addresses.

During the past year, I started developing a backend and billing system that focuses on this niche, and v6Node was born.

I’m not focusing on IPv6 because it’s cheaper for me to operate, but rather as I truly believe a dedicated IPv4 address is not needed in most cases.
Additionally, instead of investing in overpriced IPv4 subnets, I can use the funding to allow higher-end hardware, with less density.

Who is this for?

v6Node is perfect for applications that are either web-based (reverse proxy) or just don’t depend on a dedicated IPv4 address.
If you still need IPv4 access you can simply forward ports off a Shared IPv4 to your Node.

In the past, every LEB offer contains host node specification.
We haven't seen this transparency in many years.
Instead, many providers shove CPU usage into something vague like "fair use" without any way of knowing what they think as fair.

Thank you for publishing host node specification.
It is now clear that fair use is 25% of one core per GB memory.

Where did you find this information?

25% per core is indeed the allowed sustained use policy :)
It’s the ratio of ram per core

There must be some mistake

  • why am i read the code as: ILOVENUDES :D

    sorry for joking, gLws

Good catch, maybe a mod can fix it?

I thought that was part of the marketing!
    What would you like changed?

Should be IPv6 instead of IPv4

    Thanked by 1v3ng
  • I already have one. It's pretty good. :)

  • I’m waiting for my Alipay ~. VNC is also needed too.
Suggestions: Maybe you can buy some Singapore Dedicated Servers from OVH.

VNC + custom isos is next on the roadmap :)

Snapshots and stats are pretty much finished and will go into testing now

OVH isn’t an option as they are unable to provide a greater than /64 IPv6 subnet.

Is there anything besides VNC you guys would like to see?

Having full control over the backend offers many options for future features :)

    Currently in consideration:

    • Private Networking
    • Recipes (add your own scripts which can be run during or after deployment)
    • Dedicated IPv4
    • Schedules Backups
    • One click apps
  • for consideration, in Vultr, I can install the os by selecting several ssh keys, but here I can only choose 1

Thanks, added it to the roadmap

  • Private Networking and Emergency Console should be great

  • Seems like there is no VNC feature?

  • v3ngv3ng Member, Patron Provider

Not yet, but that’s the next feature planed.
Snapshots and better statistics will be coming in the next few days
