They are fine but they use much more power than any other switch
Also they boot extremely slow (more than 10 min to boot from my memory)
We have few VDX 6730 and 6740 some of them we bought them more than 10 years ago and they still work fine
if you are not used to their config it may take some time to learn it as it is not as exact as cisco or fastiron series
Depending on how many 10G ports you need, you can consider ICX6610 - 16x SFP+ with breakout cables and 2x QSFP left for uplinks. Should be around 80-100W of power usage.

Can't find any cheap ICX6610 on ebay with 16 SFP+ 10G ports any other suggestions? 16 will be fine just needs full layer 3 support
