Looking for replacement for seedbox/stream server

Hi

I have been going over a few posts here about my current provider (ihostart) and I am convinced that I need to look for a replacement quick. I current have a 2core 4gig vps 256gb hard drive which is mostly idle aside from an episode here and there in the week. All streaming is private and not shared. currently do not use more then 1TB a month but would like flexibility in terms of BW.

I am open to any suggestions, I mostly need stability as my current vps goes down every few days for a few hours. Would love to try Dedicated but concerned about costs.

Specs should be around the following:
cpu: 2 cores+
ram: 4GB +
hard drive: 100GB+
bw: 4TB+ with 100mpbs+
IPV4 (my country hasn't gone big on ipv6 yet)
if its a vps would need KVM

currently paying 20 euros for a year. willing to go higher
any seedbox friendly provider

thank you

    @PulsedMedia 450GB €18/year.
    Wait for mega threads.

I was under the impression that @PulsedMedia only provided prepackaged shared boxes? would I have root access to the vps?

    I've got a PM seedbox.

You don't get root access. If you need it for streaming there is a script that can be used to install Sonarr, Radarr and Emby.

Sonarr and Radarr work okay, I don't really use Emby (as run plex on a different server) outside of testing it a few times but it seemed to work okay.

One thing I would say is you might now and again need to restart your torrent client but simple 1click to do this.

How are your packages are fit for OP?

Even the basic 160 GB SSD package starts at 19.99 EUR/m when OP mentions that they're paying 20 EUR/y for the server they have at the moment.

Read “ willing to go higher “

  • I don't think anyone would expect OP to pay >10x but... shrug

@adwsislife not a big deal with the benchmark, but we plan to switch those 20e/year VPS to e5 v4
