DHCPv6 and default gateway Ubuntu

How do I configure ISC-DHCPd in ubuntu to send IPv6 default gateway to clients?
Thanks

  • From what I've read you cant. You need to setup radvd to hand out the gateway and dhcpv6 for the name servers and the rest.

I tried radvd. But it does not seems to hand out gateway. Do you know any configuration that works?

  • I don't yet, but I'm just starting to look into this because I want to start handing out v6 addresses at work.

This is correct. In fact in the majority of simple networks you don't even need DHCPv6 at all, only radvd is enough.
