  • You need to chill on the creating of threads... Imo

@letlover Need to provide context. As good as what? Pircing? Latency to a specific region? reliability? ticket response time?

Although none of this matters, because your questions are all over the place and are not aimed at a specific end result

There're very few hosting choices for websites targeting China, Spartan maybe one.

I won a flash deal at SpartanHost during 2020 Black Friday.
yoursunny.com is running on a Ryzen 1GB server for $16/year.
This plan normally costs $6/month, or you can pick Xeon E5 for cheaper.

    SpartanHost Seattle Ryzen NVMe 👋
    512MB for $3.60/month
    1GB or higher for $6/GB•month

    SpartanHost Seattle E5 SSD 👈
    512MB for $3.50/month
    1GB or higher for $5/GB•month

    Notice: paid link, non-aff

The network has direct peering with all three major Chinese ISPs.
I hear that it's good for web content delivery, but unsuitable for VPN usage.

This service is advertised to have IPv4 DDoS protection, whatever it means.
A technical limitation is that IPv4 UDP traffic is throttled by DDoS protection, which means QUIC and HTTP/3 will not work on IPv4.
IPv4 fragments are completely blocked on the incoming direction, which could affect certain specific applications that rely on IPv4 fragmentation.
It's possible to choose non-protected IPv4, but the routes would be different.

Outages, planned or not, do happen, but are usually brief.
There were only one long outage (several hours) during my 20 months here, which required me to execute my disaster recovery plan.
This incident also revealed a shortcoming in my Netplan.io config; Ryan McCully at SpartanHost spent several hours on the next day to help me hunting down the root cause.

No. I tried several free test sites. This one seems the best.
I also favor Hetzner, LightSail, php friends. Hope they pay me some commission.
