debian upgrade, raid and grub2 problem

Hello, please, help!
I'm upgrading debian 10 to debian 11.
System with 2 disk and linux soft raid.
On some step, GRUB2 show the window to select disk where to install it, because something previously changed in the system(?)

As I see, "/boot" is on "/dev/md0"
So, I select "/dev/md0", but it say "failed to install" and ask to select another disk or continue without grub2 upgrade.
What should I do to not corrupt anything and to be sure that system will boot after upgrade?
Thanks

You should select grub on a single disk, not an array.
If you will not upgrade grub on this step, nothing bad won't happen.

@CalmDown, thanks, so, should I choose "/dev/sda" and "dev/sdb" right now? This action will not break my soft raid? Or better skip grub upgrade after failed?

  • I usually choose only 1.
It's up to you. You can also call "update-grub" command after the upgrade and then restart.

  • I went down the path of cancellation and "update-grub". "Generating grub configuration files" done without errors. Fingers crossed. Will reboot now
