I thought the VPS market was highly competitive but seeing what all of you seem to accept I guess not.

It’s not hatched yet. Check back in six to nine months.

Given that you've failed to @ them in your OP, are you sure you filed a ticket at the right place?

(Yes, I'm kidding, I got responses in like 5 weeks and 2-3 weeks).

I hate providers that ignore tickets unless they're really cheap enough :)

Unfortunately so. It makes me sad to see Nexus Bytes and HostHatch both turn to shit like this.

Nexus ahould be forgotten entirely. That disgusting "family" PR was a blatant lie and deception to lure-in the gulible seeking premium care. This is Borta level crap.

People bought it though, they really did.

  • I've been a HH customer for a few years. Their service has definitely gone down hill. Multiple sales loaded up their servers and squeezed out earlier customers' VPSs and their performance suffered. My compute VPS used to be able to connect to the storage node VPS via their 10Gbps network (separate NICs). That's has not been possible for a while now.

But if I have enough money, I'll choose something else. If my server is down and the provider doesn't reply, I'll swear it.

You need to stick with RackNerd, then, since you've got the apology from Dustin?

To stay on topic, I also will not give a cent to businesses that take my idle VPSes offline and then decide not to reply to my ticket.

Five months isn't a surge of tickets, it's laziness.

hmmm, I was on the bandwagon but I contacted them today and they replied in less than 10mins, it was exactly 8mins. It was a billing department ticket, maybe they are overloaded in some other departments or just lazy like @emgh said.
But honestly this has been my experience with them, they reply super super fast.
This kinda makes me confused and a bit worried, but tbh I don't use their VPS for anything important.

It really does depend on what you're asking for and how quickly it can be done. My experience has generally been like your most recent but on the occasions where it didn't get handled in that first window it can drag on.

  • My servers in Chicago lost DHCP and internal network interface
after their migration to the new cloud portal.
I know that nobody will reply me but I still opened 2 tickets.
But surprisingly the problems are solved a day later.
The tickets are still not answered but I happily closed them.

  • xetsysxetsys Member

I had to contact them twice so far and they have always been quick. So things have improved I guess and thats all we can hope for considering dirt cheap pricing.

Showing in the panel only (cosmetic) or your VPS really had data loss? Very different things.
