  • Will this expansion just be VPS, or will shared hosting move over too?

Shared Hosting is also about to go live, just finishing off the last bits like backup configuration etc. We will send out a mass mail to existing customers to offer a free of charge migration if you're interested!

This has been fixed now, thanks for letting us know. For some reason the variable hadn't updated and was displaying another IP address. Thanks again! :)

We’re planning on releasing Singapore within the very near future, we’ve had a LOT of requests for this however right now Shared Hosting is available in the UK and New York.

There is best effort DDoS protection, providing you don’t receive massive attacks then you should be fine to host a game server.

    Yes

  • I haven’t used Ryzen before so just wondering if it’s powerful enough to host Plex for family use? Sometime I will need transcoding on old devices that cannot use direct play. 🥹 Thank you.

Ryzen is on the frontier of performance when it comes to VPS products, so you are unlikely to find anything better for things like Plex - especially when it comes to transcoding for older devices as you mentioned. I believe you are likely to be able to run 1-2 transcoding streams from 1 Ryzen core, it'd have to be tested but I wouldn't imagine you would have any issues there. Direct play would be A-okay

Yes, that is right - the 40% off does also apply to the annual offer which by default includes an additional 2 months off.

The above has been rectified with the user, they mistakenly clicked the UK selection option over New York. We will try to make it clearer on the order form in regards to the locations. For the record however, it is DDR4 memory, v3 Xeon CPU's with NVMe drives.

I will come with an update on speed. I am setting up the vps and move the website there to see how it performs.
Yabs shows an Epyc Milan processor on a Ryzen(?) ...

It was my mistake ... there was the location on the bottom of the page ... didn`t saw it :)

This is due to the passthrough settings of libvirt, we make use of host-model so it tries to give you as close as possible type of CPU but it can be inaccurate sometimes (such as for Ryzen). I can confirm all nodes in New York are Ryzen 5900X based.
