One provider/ Scaleway's ip rep is really bad. I use its dedi as vpn and is blocked by webhostingtalk.
As a example
Contabo VPS NVMe has 5.8K IOPS limit, but drives that they are using are capable of... 1 KK! So they give you freakin 0.58% of whats possible.
Racknerd has 16.7K limit on SSD capable of 50k-100k (IDK what exact disk they use) so it's not like all providers limit IOPS that hard.
Everything is shared on VPSes, but some take it to extreme and some give you good enough limits.
Wait until you see ColoCrossing IP reputation xD you cant even do one Google Search ever. Every single search you need to pass many steps of ReCaptcha...
What is for you guys cheap dedicated server? For me <30-45€ I will some of them, don't expect prices crazy like 5.99€ and others..
https://www.firstheberg.com/en/dedicated-server (before quote me, please drop until the end and look at the last dedicated servers for 12€, France location also)
https://pulseheberg.com/baremetal/standard (France)
https://alexhost.com/dedicated-servers/ (Republic of Moldova)
https://www.worldstream.com/en/dedicated-servers (netherlands)
https://www.nocix.net/dedicated/
https://www.dedistart.com/
https://hostkey.com/dedicated-servers/cheap/ (out of stock, check sales server.. out of stock probably?)
https://www.clients.weservit.nl/index.php/store/dedicated-servers-outlet (Netherlands)
In those providers you will find dedicated servers below <50€ some with good promotions, others offshore etc. In that list you will find providers with dedicated servers below <30€
uh, fuck.
They sold these for 4.99€ with 2x 500GB Raid 1.
I think they even delivered them with bad sectors and if you asked for a replacement, the drive had more than before.
Where is this 4.99€ with 2x 500GB Raid 1?
I cannot find this on this firstheberg website.
I have used them, firstheberg vps is super super cheap, the dedicated server can be delivered in 1-3 days, check it. It may change. I used them in the past.
They are out of stock very fast some weeks, other weeks have a lot of stock generally in day 1, 2 or 3 of first days of the month, people usually forget to pay or don't want more there is the day you catch more stock than usual.
They aren't bad, but don't expect good support or fastest support due to prices. But I have contacted support they are very friendly and helpful.
Is not too bad, in fact they are much greater than kimsufi or ovh in my opinion, perhaps it was changed or not.
Firstheberg is legit.
Probably out of stock, or he is seeing his storage plans, check also their vps super cheap.
$10.27 for some i3 with 4GB, 2x1TB (HW RAID) and gbps, if paid annually?
Ooops, the testing time is stored as 16-bit, so they had actually run a short test on it (actually 3) before provisioning. And seemingly the drive had never been tested before then.
vps and vds still have their niche market <$5-10. there is no practical bmds in this price range yet. virmach is doing the right thing. in the next five years, with the standardization of amd epyc 64 core/128 thread cpus, quality $10/y vps and $50/y vds will be industry standards. bmds cannot compete in this price range.

One Provider's little dedi is interesting in terms of the network speed. It can go 1 gbps outbound, very useful for seedbox.
Looks like your speeds are as expected. I've opened a ticket, as my speeds are still terrible:
People buying 10€ - 15€ dedicated servers and waiting huge quality. Different markets, different brains and ways of thinking...
Common sense.
Good for seedbox p2p downloading client. different horses for different courses.
Why people always go with kimsufi? You have firstheberg and pulseheberg with good storage vps or dedicated server lool (France Location)
Take a look in cheap dedicated servers list
https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3439251/#Comment_3439251
If people doesn't go with kimsufi and try to use others maybe it change.
If I set up KVM on this server and open my own business
https://www.worldstream.com/en/dedicated-servers/configure/57?chassis=26&cpu=48&memory=64&location=1&uplink=16&ddosShield=3&storage[0][storageDrive]=/api/storage_drives/16&storage[0][amount]=2&storage[0][raidConfiguration]=/api/raid_configurations/6&hardwareRaid=true&remoteFeature=1&instantDelivery=true
The cost for each vds of 1 vcpu(thread), 1 gb ram, 40 gb disk, 2 tg quota, will be $3. If I charge customers $6 each vds, I have 100% profit.
However, 1 gbps shared, even upgrade to 10 gbps, shared by 50 customers, still is the major bottleneck. The real bandwidth is 200 mbps.
Just want to pointing out that even vds from a totally reliable vendor still is not as good as a bmds.
For network quality, even a tiny KS1 is no slouch when comparing to a mid to high end vds. A one provider $7 or $5 dedi depending on your deal has a dedicated 1 gbps outbound.
Shared yes, if you abuse it, that can happen quick, you be throttled to 100Mbit for ever.
KS1 has 100Mbit unmetered, do the fuck you want.
If you really think you get 1Gbit for yourself, for 7$, no way.
With the tech advancement, cpu cores and rams and disks outpace network by a mile. If network catches up and 100 gbps is as cheap as 1 gbps in dc, vds can truly compete with bmds in every aspect. In reality, this is not the case, so vps and vds lags behind bmds by a mile in network quality.
In other words, vpn with online gaming is the true stress test for vds and vps.
For price estimation, if KS1 is priced as $6, $10/y vps and $50/y vds is very reasonable. The current vps/vds business has too much profit.
AWS started as the online elastic computing cluster, which is totally suitable for this scenario. The later VPS/VDS for web hosting is stretching.
Wooow damnn, firstheberg have nice nice prices, anyone here have used them? Seems a good location for lower pings through Europe, they have ddos protection free?
Is not easy to find that with 1Gbps guaranteed...
You won't.
I believe that you may find That with Soyoustart (OVH) or Pulseheberg.. However firstheberg have nices prices for storage vps and dedicated servers... The problem is setup of dedicated server.
1Gbps guaranteed? SoYouStart stops at 500mbps, and I'm not even sure how much is "guaranteed".
As per my Point of View - wholesaleinternet & nocix those 2 are USA most cheap dedicated provider
same company, same DC.
Nop. I didn't say that. Of course for the price won't be guaranteed.
The heatwave takes its toll eh?
