It's always helpful if ordinary citizens help us out -- one doesn't need to be a communist for this! :)

That's actually what being a communist means-- to devote yourself to a set of ideology held by a group of people. As opposed to being a capitalist-- you need to be rewarded for everything that you do, otherwise it's not worth doing. You can be a "communist" for confucianism (China), but also flat-earth, evolutionism, LET, etc.

Can't one simply be a nice person and help others (if one can) without having a fancy communist ideology in the background?

Helping others by bringing value is ironically The core of capitalism :) While infact, the core of communism is stealing value

People at large misunderstand what communism and socialism are, just as much they misunderstand what capitalism is.

Capitalism forces organizations like us to bring the maximal value to their users (community), at any cost. Where as communism enforces equality of outcome, or otherwise taking from more successful to give to those less successful on the front, but in reality it is all about taking more from the many for the benefit of the few.

Capitalism needs some checks & bounds, whereas communism has yet to show any long term success.

Ironically capitalism reaches some of the same conclusions as communism, but it's all in the how and why it's achieved. Capitalists understands that it's better to help those in actual need, rather than anyone who asks for it -- as an example.

Regardless, let's leave politics to that here. I'll be open to further discussion on our discord tho.

@morreke and @doughnet Thanks for the very kind words! Those are very much appreciated, more than you'd think! :) I hope you both enjoy our services for many years to come, and we continue to bring you extraordinary value :)

Freakin' commie. Bleeding Britain white with one hand and painting it red with the other. I mean, just look at the colors in his avatar.

Anyway, there's no rule against non-recurring but the rules do say you should indicate the recurring price (or make it obvious...in other words, no tricksies on the punters as those limey trotskyites say).

That needs a larger context. Communism steals value from the individual for the greater benefit of the community-- e.g. ObamaCare. That capitalism brings maximal value to their community is a side-effect, not the intent. Greed results in efficiency -- maximal profit, lowest cost, which is why Sanjay from Mumbai is answering tech support instead of Bill from Alabama.

Not this nonsense again! Some people get pleasure from freely giving without expecting anything in return. The act itself is satisfying.

That's a contradiction. Obviously you're expecting self-gratification or satisfaction from "freely giving," or in this case, "You didn't pay your 200 BilohBucks buddy! Time to get banned! muhahahaha"

yep it's great to be in the communist party until a capitalist joins the group and ruins everything. :D

  • Setup fee for one month.

  • Any one facing issues with partial data getting automatically deleted from seedbox.

    1) My disk has enough of space and was not overused. Haven't used bonus space.

    2) I have not set up any ratio groups to my seedbox.

    3) Few torrents get automatically deleted and this was not the first time.

You have probably some autotools config or something like that setup.
Ask support to reprovision you if you want full reset all around.

  • Have you guys made any headway in the self service reprovisioning button?

    Is current offer recurring?

  • @PulsedMedia please check ticket #768869.

My seedbox is currently slow as the fuck.

I really can recommend pulsedmedia. I have a Astro Mega and some smaller ones, all are working great. Mainly using it for storage but also with torrents I never really had problems.

    From the website:

Note *: Unlimited traffic still has fair use and abusive use limitation, but for all practical purposes it is unlimited. The fair usage limitation is set to 60TB of traffic, which will require roughly ~200Mbps average bandwidth usage over the course of a month. If you need higher traffic limit, please contact support and ask for options.

    Footnote on https://pulsedmedia.com/value1000-seedbox.php

So basically the limit is 60TB for those.

Was just about to come here since multiple tickets demanding no fair share clause.
If you do not want fair share clause you have to get a dedicated seedbox with Power/Power+ option.

We cannot sell dedis at shared prices. If you find someone giving you a dedi with 6+ core, true business SLA/True IP Transit 1Gbps with at least 6TB+ of storage (and ever growing) at ~9€ a month, please do let the entire forum know, they will have mad sales for that when becoming public knowledge on this forum :)

We did some backend maintenance work today, that's why temporarily site showed 0 available as we were increasing performance all around on the backend.

  • ArkasArkas Moderator

@PulsedMedia I tried to buy a seedbox today, but the prices are not showing the discounts you have linked, and it is showing setup fees added.

Go to checkout, discount applied there. 3 month and over has no setup fee, but discount is not reoccuring so best to buy for the term length you want right off the bat.

Thanks for the clarification. I didn't know that.

Indeed updates on checkout page, and you are best to pick longest term possible you estimate you will need the service at least for.

  • Grabbed one. Thanks!

This is quite a good deal -- I have had a box with ultra for quite a while, long enough that apparently the plan I initially signed up for with them doesn't even exist anymore and now costs roughly 2x as much as what I pay monthly with half of the storage space...but seeing as I don't really even use stuff like jellyfin anymore and just need something capable of running transmission/rtorrent, I'm gonna give this a go and see how it works out. Will have to keep my eyes peeled for any potential deals on the 'niche' storage box you guys have on your page, which even at it's regular price is quite a good deal compared to pretty much any seedbox providers I know of that are worth using. Cheers.

None at this time. Auctions are often way more hassle than they are worth
