If they just want to identify me as they say then Google-Pay (which they accept for payments) should be enough, but they insist on card verification...

Domain is not free for one year. I purchased last night and they changed me. Also they won't respond to my messages to inquire why they charge.
they charge you 1$ and you get it refunded yes.
If it does not say FREE then likely you already exceeded 1 free domain per account.
I was charged $10.00 I've purchased all my domain from them, never any free.
Don't buy from them, customer service has gone way south! Once they have your money, you're on your own.

I was not able to claim this since I already claimed LOWENDTALKWIKI and LOWENDTALKINK coupons from their previous free domain campaigns.

Too nice ones (cool.app, null.dev etc) are probably not part of the promo.
