Looking for a Taiwan VPS

brueggusbrueggus Member, IPv6 Advocate

I'd like to add a box in Taiwan to my portfolio of idlers, so here's what I'm looking for:

Specs:
1 CPU
512 MB RAM
~10 GB SSD
200 GB Traffic/mo
1 IPv4, /64 IPv6
~30 USD / year

I'm aware of @SoftShellWeb, but their Sales team told me they were out of stock, so I'm looking for alternatives (or for someone willing to transfer their service to me)

Please provide a test IP or looking glass with your offers.
Thanks!

I’m not along for the ride with this one, I’m afraid.

Well, the last one has been rather disappointing already.

    Did you get IP renumbered?

Yep, but at least the last octet remained the same.

As residential here, GCP free trial is your best bet, if you're strictly limited to Taiwan and with budget that little.
The cheapest price I found is $30 a month, instead of a year.

30USD per year is pretty hard for a Taiwan VPS. You may get NAT based VPS though.

With summer host, maybe, but just maybe.

increase your budget, 30/year is impossible

I'm open for offers - but $30/mo is way out of my budget.

Actually, $30/mo is the cheapest I could find, usually is way more than that. That's why I said it before, Taiwan isn't the best place for a VPS, or even just web hosting.

GCP is free, but it used broadcast IP. Not a pure Taiwan IP, so it depends on his use case.

Only free for like 3 months

Mainly we have only one ISP to control our network infrastructure, no competition in the market, so they can price whatever they want, even most of our international peering is owned by a single ISP.

As you can see from the graph.

I'm guessing it is because Chunghwa Telecom has monopoly over Taiwan's fibre network, like Telstra in Oceania.

But you can extend the three months infinite.
