    We only permit the 1TB HDD in the 2nd bay not the first bay, so you'd need to have a 240/480GB/6TB HDD in the primary drive bay.

    If you're just looking to get something with the 1TB HDD, Just order a server and select it in the 2nd bay as the 240GB SSD in the 1st bay is included.

    So the disk is still available to the filesystem as a normal disk would be, and there's no restrictions on how I used it, I just can't put the OS on it?

    Correct - the disk is still available as regular.
    You could install an OS onto it by selecting to install onto the 2nd drive within Synergy, although we'd usually suggest installing the OS onto the SSD in the primary drive. Of course it's up to you :)

    In stock configs are instant, any orders that have been placed so far that aren't 240GB SSD are all being configured now and should be ready within 20 or so minutes.

    SSDs a bit slow but I think it may be a keeper if the ddos protection is good

    If you're still having issues, free free to open a ticket and we'll be able to scheduled a drive replacement. If it's easiest we can pre-emptively replace this for you if you'd prefer.

    I can’t stop the format but I can see activity from iostat so something is happening. I’ll leave it running overnight, hopefully it’ll and see what the craic is, then raise a ticket if needed.

    I had an issue with my 1TB drive though - the disk itself seems fine based on SMART output, but a format took a couple of hours and operations take far longer than they should, so support are replacing it for me.

    Just to close off my experience, support were excellent, and replaced my dodgy 1TB drive over the weekend even though I let them know it could wait.

    Not bad for the price, they seem to be out of 1TB drives so I may have to wait a couple of days for that to be added - otherwise seems pretty decent.
