I've asked Hetzner about this and here is what they said:

1. They include 6TB drives because of stock problems.
2. If the drive fails, they will replace it with an equivalent or higher capacity one.

Anyway, if you want to be really sure about this, you'd probably want to ask them via support as well.

1. They include 6TB drives because of stock problems.
2. If the drive fails, they will replace it with an equivalent or higher capacity one.

Anyway, if you want to be really sure about this, you'd probably want to ask them via support as well.

if it's listed correctly in their robot (control panel) under the servers 'hardware' tab as 6TB, you won't get a smaller one as replacement.

There is no hardware tab for new servers, its only for auction servers !

@__no_preserve_root And quite logically: I cant imagine good when u have for example configured these 2 6TB satas in raid, that when 1 disks fail they would be so stupid that will replace it with 2 TB...
