One-time discount or recurring?
Is "BASIC2022" recurring?
Got a reply from the live chat;
"Yes, it is permanent code" - seems to be recurring.
I'm interested in using this as a syncing server between Gdrive and other destinations, and I plan on pushing approximately 150TB/month. I was wondering if this would be allowed and if I would be able to push the full 1 Gbps whenever I want.
I want to try Mevspace out instead of Hetzner for a change
Hi, 950 mbps - is the limit set on the port, so 150TB/month will be no problem, it is typical traffic for us.
Great network and GB5 performance, but NVMe performance has been weird.
After I rebooted, I got the following:
Not asking for Gen4 top tier disk speeds, but these are in RAID0 and should be performing much higher (on the website their rated spec is 1.4-2GB/s each). I installed via the template and installed no additional packages myself, just ran a Yabs immediately. Mdadm reports the RAID array as fine and not doing anything special. Chatted with another person in the ServerHunter Discord who also bought this server along with me and they're reporting the same results.
I will install with the ISO directly and report back with the results.
@Mevspace I registered an account but still wating for verification. Do you know how long it will usually take? would be sad if all deals are gone when my account got verified
I think it may be due to lack of pcie 3 slots on the mobo, or maybe nvme inserted into wrong slots.
What are the business/support hours for your company?
Maybe, also these disks have extremely high wearout:
Mon. - Fri. 09:00 a.m. - 5 p.m. GMT+1
V.funny You have 5% off extra in Mevspace
Depending on which server you bought, different disks are used, in the cheapest servers there are also cheaper models of disks and that's why there might be such parameters. Please send us a ticket to [email protected] and we will check why.
Actually we have changed our hours of business support to 8:00 a.m. - 06:00 p.m. CEST everyday. We have not yet updated the information on the website, we will do so today.
Of course our technical support works 24/7/365
@Mevspace what are your IPv4 charges? Your site https://mevspace.com/ unreachable ?
works fine, issue is on your end. ipv4 is 2 euro per month per ip.
This is skynode right? Great offers
out of stock ?
yes, basic dedicated server 5 3600 is now out of stock, but there is another server AMD Ryzen 5 3600 on a promotion on our website
The irony is, I was about to order, waited for verification, and it's out of stock when the verification is done. Oh well. That's just nature telling me not to waste my money.
That's... kinda impressive tbh. I wonder if the drive was previously used in a high-traffic write-heavy DB server, or something similar. More writes than reads, and 232 TB written over 9722 power-on hours is around a consistent 6.63 MB/s write rate for the entire time the drive has been powered on
It's very close to hitting the TBW rating for the drive, which is 330TB: https://www.goodram.com/en/products/px500-nvme-pcie-gen-3-x4-ssd/
too bad we have to pay for more ipv6, the smallest is /112 for 20 EUR (one time)
please consider to give more free ipv6
They replaced it with some fairly new Samsung 980 500GB models with only 5% wearout, which is good at least. I don't know (and don't think) they'll do it for everyone though.
Someone I know also got a Mevspace promo server and had the same amount of wearout. I wonder if these are from Chia miners or something like that.
After the replacement, I have been pretty happy with my Mevspace server. I had a small issue where the speeds to Google Drive were terrible, but support was able to do a temporary fix so that I can at least push 600-700 Mbps. However, I don't know if I will be renewing it since I had planned for this server to be pushing to Google Drive and I don't know how long it'll take them to fix it so that I can push the full 1 Gbps.
@Advin Answer looks a little bit weird...
Could you share yabs, please?
After replacement disk (RAID0)
Sigh, every time I see a host using this shit, I want to hit them on the head. Consumer SSDs will wear out faster than an enterprise SSD, and will end up costing them in the long run. What were you expecting from a host that was fine with IP spoofing, anyway?
