Or, alternatively, and frankly more attractive, just dump the '1st year only' limitation. To balance it out, the rebate could be made a bit lower, maybe just 33% instead of 50% (if, really, really needed).

    Reasoning:
    (a) first 'x days'|'x months'|'year' type of promos have a bad smell
    (b) servers as well a traffic tends to get cheaper anyway, so the risk is quite mild.
    (c) it best works like this - and also matches @FlorinMarian's image here better: Just openly put it on the table and offer "11 inches for the price of 5 inches!", done. Straight, simple, transparent ... and attractive.

  • I would like to pick up 17.99 one
But can the HDD be 200 GB?

@yoursunny has very kindly focused on how the price for one of the offers might be expressed: Price: €17.99 first year, €35.99 annually.

Given the extra sunshine from @yoursunny and in the context of all the additional comments, does anyone think future readers of this thread still could be confused about the non-recurring first year price?

As we all know, editing causes its own set of problems. The thread would look very odd if we edited the ad and all the comments about the original ad remained. Thus, conceivably, editing might be avoided unless necessary. Given @yoursunny's sunshine and all the additional comments, as well as the problems caused by editing, does anyone think editing is necessary here?

    Best wishes from Sonora! 🚵

Yes, to comply with the rules.

    1. List the final recurring price after any discounts..

E.g.: Price: €11.99 first year with coupon (€23.99/year thereafter)

Wouldn't you just note the edit, in the edit?

    "Edit: Non-recurring, normal price xx.xx"

I mean yes if future readers read the entire thread they'll get educated, but the point was that it should be noted in the main post. (I may be incredibly unique, but I only read entire offer threads if I'm looking for drama)

    Hope that's helpful, thanks.

  • For the performance packages, are there any differences from the low end packages apart from the advertised specs? I was wondering if you get unlimited/dedicated cpu on the performance packages since the allocation is 1 thread per 6 GB of ram.

Anyway, how are you going to upgrade cpu or change colocation? Are you planning to unrack and change cpu, then unrack and ship to new datacenter? Also, interestingly, you will find that the cheap shared unmetered 10 Gbps datacenters were willing to give you at 1-2U just isn't an option when you start renting more rack space. It's because they don't think you can fully utilize the shared 10 Gbps at 1-2U.

    Hello!
Yes, we want to take the server off the rack for about an hour, change the processors and then put it back.
The data center will probably remain the same because the offers received from the internet providers are ridiculous (500Mbps download / 25Mbps upload, non-guaranteed).
We are looking to have only 1U servers because we pay 10 eur + VAT for each additional occupied unit.
Regarding the internet, when we get to use the 10Gbps connection then we will end up paying about 400 eur/mo just for the colocation of a single 1U server.

I ordered yesterday night, I really like the speed! (although my assigned IPv6 in RO doesn't seem to be working)

But... I missed the recurring discount, is there a possibility to make that order have recurring discount anyways?
