:-O for what is suitable nowadays this (disk)?

    Rapid Deploy Server - Intel Xeon E3 1230 V3 8 GB (PNJ)
    Intel Xeon E3 1230 V3
    64 GB SSD

This config really does not give me a much sense for dedicated server

You can run a lot of stuff on that. Not everything is a Plex server.

Yes, sure you can install there many (for space not diffcult) things, without smallest doubts. BUT: When i rent whole physical server, i expect to have its resouce in any sane/balanced rate and combination (CPU/RAM/disk/BW)
Is x time more sane for me rather pay for VPS with high ram cpu and bw, several times less $ (say arround ~$10 monthly) when only 60 GB of disk is enough, than pay useless whole dedicated server with disk with capacity practically of today usual server RAM.
Also, this SSD must be prehistorical, 64GB SSD started approx around 2007, so there imo must be not only poor I/O compared to nowadays SSD, but mainly also pretty increased chance for hw failure (most of all ssd in my computers died after years - aging of material, electronic is also affected)
(btw i am not interesting about plex server)

@miu value is on the 1G unmetered for the price/mo. Contrary to servers from other providers that give you little bandwidth capacity, that even your residential internet is faster.

On the bright side, there's a good chance you'd get a larger SSD for the same price if it did fail.

Streaming, VPNs, DNS servers just to name a few. Those 64GB SSDs have lasted so long because they really see 0 use beyond the initial OS install. They're still faster than a HDD for snappier OS/software response, but are rarely used beyond reads for most use cases.
